Flowery Middle Fork

Beautiful times last week on the Middle Fork of the Salmon:

We had a layover day to hike up high, and the blooms were fantastic up on the ridges:

The ponderosa groves on the Middle Fork’s river terraces have a luminous beauty all their own, and adding some Arrowleaf Balsamroot never hurts:

  1. I had a friend who built trail for the SCA in the Frank Church; I’d love to see it myself someday. These are some gorgeous images–the flowers are really fantastic everywhere this year, it seems!
