Sierra Color

Ritter Glowing

After playing with monochrome in the last post, it’s time for something a little more festive: three colorful shots from one morning last June in the Ansel Adams Wilderness. Sunrise at Cecile Lake gave us a few swift moments of waxing pink glow, then a quick spotlight on the peaks, followed by dull gray as the sun rose into clouds.

  1. Interesting that Greg went for portrait and you chose landscape format for the final image, Jackson. Both are extremely beautiful. Hard to pick a favourite from these. I would be proud of each of them.

    • Thanks Andrew! One of the pleasures of taking trips with Greg has been seeing the different ways we each approach the same landscapes, and I guess it’s even more interesting to see our two takes on a very simple subject.
