Spring Gleanings

It’s now meteorologic autumn and wheat harvest is well underway in the yellow fields of the Palouse. Meanwhile, I’m still sitting on a large horde of images from the green season. Fields, flowers, rural roads, trees, the Palouse River, etc. No further explanation is needed – please enjoy (and view as large as you can)!

“Riverbend and Steptoe” is breathtaking. “Winding” is intimate and calming.
Thank you! I’m sorry to report that the landscape in Riverbend and Steptoe likely burned today, since I published this post. I’m hoping the damage won’t be too bad.
Yikes. I don’t see much to burn in your photo.
“Green Isthmus” is lovely and it is my pick of the set. Do you still yearn for the desert or has this landscape grown on you?
I don’t ever see ceasing to yearn for the desert. But while central Washington was not for us, we really are liking it around here in far eastern Washington, next door to Idaho.
